What follows is pretty much what I've already put on my blog.
I’m back for a little more sharing. My goal is to show you a little bit about my specific interests. I’ve been working on my master’s in education with a specialization in Library Media Services and am trying to educate myself about the rapidly changing world of online information sources.
Now that social software (wikis & blogs) seem to have been conditionally accepted within our rural school district, it is only a short matter of time before we will start seeing their emergence into the florescent light of our school media centers. There are a number of nervous educators who are bracing for that event. And I admit that I am one of them.
Converting 8mm analog video to digital
I'm actually starting out with some older technology but its where I started working with video. Another point is that for educators who have older analog video, this process works for standard classroom video recordings.
I own a Panasonic VCR/DVD recorder but the resultant DVD only works in my Panasonic machine and is not a universal format. The process below results in a QuickTime file that is universal.
My experience is with Mac OS, so the details that follow are for that platform. Perhaps the process will be similar enough for a Windows-based machine. Regardless, I hope you will enjoy reading further.
